The 30-player shortlist has been confirmed for the 2021 Ballon d'Or

After a year of delay, the Ballon d'Or is set to take place again, and it has never been so competitive in at least the last ten years.

Former Barcelona and current PSG star Lionel Messi is looking to win his seventh Ballon d'Or, but as in previous years, he is not far superior to the other candidates.

Bayern Munich star Robert Lewandowski is also among the finalists, who had the main chance of winning last year before the ceremony was cancelled.

Many also consider Chelsea's Jorginho to be eligible for the top prize this year, as he won the European Championship in one season with Chelsea and Italy.

Ronaldo and Benzema cannot be ignored either, as they are still shining in their teams.
