Racially abused Koulibaly calls for permanent bans from stadiums

The Napoli star was among the players who were subjected to racist abuse in his side’s match against Fiorentina.

Napoli defeated Fiorentina with a 2-1 result on Sunday, continuing their impressive seven-match winning streak in Serie A. The game, however, was overshadowed by the racist abuse targeted at

Andre-Frank Zambo Anguissa

,

Victor Osimhen

, and

Kalidou Koulibaly

.

During his post-match interview with DAZN, the French defender was again targeted by a group of Fiorentina fans. According to

II Napolista

, Fiorentina's director Joe Barone went to Napoli's dressing room to apologize to the players personally.

Koulibaly responded to the incidents by publishing a post on his Twitter account.

"'Monkey of s***. F****** monkey'"

, Koulibaly wrote.

"They called me that. These people have nothing to do with sport. They must be identified and kept out of the stadiums. Forever."

Earlier this season, Tiemoue Bakayoko and Franck Kessie claimed they were racially abused by a group of Lazio fans, which led to Milan’s official complaint to the Federal Prosecutor's Office.
