the Dutchman opened up to the intensified pressure over recent days after Barcelona’s 3-0 home defeat by Bayern Munich.
“There are exaggerated things. There are changes in the team, injuries and many young players,”
he said during his pre-match press conference.
“The people that think about what we have, the people that know, surely say that it’s a change with not enough time, but what counts is winning games.
“It cannot be that I have to answer before Bayern if I am going to renew for another year and now the next questions will be over whether I fear for my future.
“I have to put energy into what we have in our hands, prepare the team to win the game.”
Meanwhile,Memphis Depay believes there are real positives on the horizon
for Koeman’s young team. He said: “Obviously the result against Bayern was disappointing.
“We have to learn from the defeat and we have to all row in the same direction to reverse the situation.
“But I firmly believe we will find a way to fight for every titles, we are Barcelona, and I want to help the club reverse this complicated situation.”
The Netherlands international has bagged two goals and an assist in three La Liga games so far this season, securing a vital four points against Athletic Bilbao and Getafe.
