Milan lodge complaint FIGC over racist abuse from Lazio fans

AC Milan have announced they have sent a complaint to the Federal Prosecutor’s Office after Tiemoue Bakayoko accused Lazio fans of racially abusing him.

15 minutes into the second half of his side’s 2-0 win over

Lazio

. While the Rossoneri fans applauded, shameful racist chants were heard from away supporters.

Bakayoko posted on his Instagram account:

"To the Lazio supporters and the racist chants about me and my brother Franck Kessie I would like to say we're stronger than you and we're proud of the color of our skin. I have full confidence in the club (Milan) and hope (the offenders) are identified."

Milan have confirmed their decision to file an official complaint to the FIGC and asked them to investigate the incident.

“AC Milan announces that it has decided to present a complaint to the Federal Prosecutor so that the chants coming from the visiting supporters’ sector are clarified during Milan vs. Lazio,”

the statement said

.

Bakayoko joined Milan on loan from Chelsea this summer, having already spent the 2018-19 season on loan at the club.
