The Ajax kit, which has been very popular among the fans, has been banned by UEFA.

shirt was banned by UEFA because it contained images that were against the rules of the federation.

Ajax's third shirt was inspired by Bob Marley's song "Three Little Birds", which became a fan anthem and was unveiled for the current season. The kit was worn by the players for the first time in the match against PEC Zwolle on Saturday. The shirt has yellow, green and red stripes and three small birds are engraved under the collar.

However, UEFA has informed the club that the shirt does not comply with UEFA rules and they can no longer use it.

Ajax statement reads: "

The European Football Association [UEFA] sees it as a different expression than the club logo, logo clothing sponsor or sleeve sponsor. Other expressions are not allowed."
