Jean-Pierre Adams dies after 43 years in coma
The ex-France footballer, who had spent his last 39 years in Coma, has passed away aged 73.

was brought to the hospital in 1982 for knee surgery but he did not regain his consciousness following a mistake with his anaesthetic supply.
The defender, who was born in Senegal, played in 140 matches for
Niceand he also featured for Paris Saint-Germain.
PSG release a statement about Adams’ "joie de vivre, charisma and experience commanded respect".
Nice paid tribute to the 73-year-old, who won 22 caps for France during his career.
Adams played for Nimes in 84 matches and the club sent their
"most sincere condolences to his loved ones and his family
".
On his surgery day, when he wanted to have his knee tendon repaired, Lyon hospital staffs were on strike.
However, his operations continued as planned, with the anaesthetist taking care of eight patients simultaneously and Adams was one of them.
Adams’ trainee, who was supervising him, later said:
"I was not up to the task I was entrusted with
."
A lot of errors were made between the anaesthetist and trainee, which led to Adams suffering a cardiac arrest and brain damage.
The duo were punished in mid-1990s by a one-month suspended sentence and a 750 euro fine.
The hospital discharged him after 15 months and his wife Bernadette has been taking care of him in Nimes ever since.
