Leicester City's Praet close to Torino
After the defeat against Fiorentina, Torino has started serious negotiations to secure Dennis Praet's services.
The Torino boss has been disappointed with the club's performance in the summer transfer window and has made no secret of his disappointment following last night's defeat to Fiorentina.
“
If you hire Juric as a coach, you have to do something with these players. I gave my honest, clear, sincere analysis. We are way behind schedule,”
Ivan Juric told DAZN.
“I have been honest with the club from the start, in order to play the football I have in mind, we need to do certain things. The way we are now, we’re not one thing or another.”
According to the reports, Leicester City are ready to sell
Praet
if a suitable offer arrives, but it remains to be seen how much Torino can invest in attracting the Belgian national team player.
The 27-year-old Praet played 106 games for
Sampdoria
between 2016 and 2019 and then joined Leicester City with a €19 million transfer.
Torino have also begun talks with Fiorentina for
Sofyan Amrabat
and with Benfica for
Adel Taarabt
, but the Portuguese club's €8 million price tag is too much for the Granata.
