Roma’s transfers fail one by one

Tue 27 July 2021 | 21:48

There have been critics about Roma’s bids for their targets in the transfer market.

Roma

has been working on different deals to build a stronger team for next season, but they don’t seem to be making progress in any of their negotiations as they fail to finalize their moves. The Giallorossi have shown interest in signing

Sardar Azmoun

from Zenit, but they need to make better offers to convince the club to sell the high-profile striker. They seem to have the same problem about bringing

Granit Xhaka

and Eldor Shomurodov.

Roma’s most wanted target in the transfer market is Zenit’s Iranian striker Sardar Azmoun, but their offer has been €18M which is way below the club’s price tag for the player, according to the reports, and Bayer Leverkusen has made a €20M bid for the player which seems more desirable for the Russian side.

Roma has also been looking to sign Granit Xhaka since their new head coach’s arrival, and they have made a €15M offer for the player and Arsenal is expecting €20M for the midfielder, although the player himself seems to be interested in leaving the Gunners, and he may force his way out after returning from his vacation.
