Matthaus questioned Kroos' performance in Euro2020

The 30-year-old star failed to meet expectations at Euro 2020.

Lothar Matthaus, the German football legend, criticized Tony Kroos for his performance at Euro 2020.

did not perform well during Euro 2020 and were eliminated from the competition after losing 2-0 to England in the round of 16. The Real Madrid midfielder was one of the players who appeared weaker than expected and announced his retirement from national football after the competition. Now Matthaus criticized the 30-year-old star and questioned his performance.

"Kroos is no longer international class. Personally, I have nothing against Toni Kroos, but I don't agree with the way he plays.

"At the Euros, you saw that it's not just about the speed of the player, but also that of the ball.

"He actually does that quite well with one or two touches, but when he passes the ball, he loses speed again because there is hardly any gain in space and the pace is taken off."
