Egyptian club keen on signing Dani Alves & collaborating with Messi

As per the club's chairman, the freshly promoted Pharco FC has big plans for the near future.

Pharco Football Club is an Egyptian football club based in Alexandria, and Shreen Helmy, the club's owner, has expressed interest in bringing

Dani Alves

to the club and expressing his desire to collaborate with

Lionel Messi

on a charity project.

Pharco FC topped their 16-team group to gain immediate promotion to Egypt's top division, and the club is already eyeing a Brazilian superstar.

Alves is presently at his childhood club Sao Paulo, which he joined in 2019, but Helmy believes the Egyptian team has a real chance of luring in one of the greatest full-backs in football history.

"I am working on bringing Dani Alves from Sao Paulo because we can benefit from his experience," he told

ElHadath AlYoum

.

"I have met Alves and he told me he wanted to play with Sao Paulo since he was 8 years old, and I think I can bring him to the Egyptian Premier League."

According to Helmy, the club would also like to collaborate with current free agent Messi, but not on a sporting initiative.

Messi traveled to Egypt as part of his campaign to help individuals suffering from

Hepatitis C

, which he claims is "leading the world in the fight."

Helmy says he's excited to fight beside the Argentine star in that battle.

"We negotiated with Messi," Hely admitted, "not to join our club but to strengthen relations with the player after his contribution to the treatment of Hepatitis C."
