Ashley Young set to return to Aston Villa on a free transfer

Ashley Young is now finalizing personal terms with Aston Villa over a free transfer from Inter, and although he has offers from Burnley and Watford, he is likely to end up at his former club Aston Villa.

Ashley Young

started his playing career at Watford in 2003. He then joined

Aston Villa

in 2007 and before joining Manchester United in 2011, he was able to play about 200 games for Villa.

During his four-and-a-half season at Villa, Young won the Premier League, FA Cup, and League Cup.

The ex-England international joined

Inter

in January 2020 and since then has been playing for the club.

He has been able to make 34 appearances through all competitions last season for Inter and win the Serie A.

He was then offered a new one-year deal at Inter, but he prefers to return to England to be closer to his family.

He is now finalizing personal terms with his former club Aston Villa over a free transfer from Inter Milan.

Burnley and his former club Watford had also held talks with Young's representatives, but it seems he is likely to join Aston Villa.

Young is expected to take a medical in the next 24 hours, with a one-year contract plus the option of a further 12 months under discussion.
