Inter want D’Ambrosio, Young, and Ranocchia to stay
Serie A champions Inter have reportedly reached an agreement with Danilo D’Ambrosio over a one-year extension and are hoping to do the same with Andrea Ranocchia and Ashley Young.
The Nerazzurri appointed
Simone Inzaghi
as their new head coach last week and are now planning to build a squad to defend their title next season.
Inzaghi was keen to keep hold of
D’Ambrosio
, who had previously been linked with Lazio and
AC Milan, and his input has helped arrange the new deal.
According to Sky Sport Italia, Inter today activated the option to extend with D’Ambrosio until June 2022 and his agent was spotted at the club headquarters today.
Along with that deal, they are also in talks to extend with
Young
and
Ranocchia
.
Both defenders had been expected to leave the club following the expiry of their contract this summer, with Young, in particular, heading to Watford, but there has been a change of plan.
