Wolfsburg keen on replacing Glasner with van Bommel
Former PSV coach Mark van Bommel is confirmed to be in advanced negotiations with Wolfsburg to replace Oliver Glasner.
Mark van Bommel, 44, may be in line to succeed
Oliver Glasner
as coach of Wolfsburg at the end of the season.
'Die Wölfe' are in active negotiations with the 44-year-old, who has been unemployed since being fired by PSV in December, according to Sport Bild.
Despite Wolfsburg's third-place finish this season, Glasner is expected to leave this summer after a disagreement with the director of sports Jörg Schmadtke.
The 46-year-old Glasner has been connected to both RB Leipzig and Eintracht Frankfurt.
In addition to van Bommel, Borussia Dortmund interim manager
Edin Terzic
has been mentioned as a possible candidate for the Wolfsburg position.
