Tiemoue Bakayoko will leave Napoli
Napoli midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko is set to return to his parent club Chelsea at the end of the current season as the Serie A side have no intention of activating his purchase option.
The 26-year-old, who signed for
Chelseafrom
Monacoin 2017, struggled to nail down a first-team regular for the London Blues and therefore he was sent on loans to
AC Milan,
AS Monaco
, and
Napoli.
Despite rather a satisfactory season for the Partenopei, Bakayoko has dropped down the pecking order in recent months and the Italian side have confirmed that they will not purchase the French player.
He still has a year left to his contract at Stamford Bridge but has been linked with a move to Ligue 1 clubs Paris Saint-Germain and Lyon, according to
