Three PL star called up for Netherland national team

Wijnaldum, Van de Beek and Bergwijn will join the Dutch national team for World Cup qualifiers.

Georginio Wijnaldum, Donny Van de Beek and Steven Bergwijn were called up to the

Dutch

national team despite concerns about the Coronavirus protocol.

The upcoming International break is taking place amid controversy around coronavirus. Players travel to other countries while the Corona pandemic has led to the establishment of special protocols, and players from five major leagues must be quarantined for 10 days on their return from national games.

Frank de Boer has tried to use more young players to prepare his team before the World Cup qualifiers, but three players in the Premier League have been called up to the Dutch national team and they should be quarantined for 10 days after returning to UK.

De boer told reporters: “

For the development of young players, it is good to play matches at a final tournament."

"For that reason, I have not included a number of boys in our preliminary selection, so that they can experience the European Championship with the Dutch juniors.

"Of course the first team is always leading, but where possible we naturally want take other teams into account. ”
