Nigel Pearson to replace Dean Holden at Bristol City

Following a run of six straight defeats, Bristol City announced the sacking of their manager last week. Currently 15th in the Championship table, Pearson is likely to sign a contract for the remainder of the season on Monday.

Pearson

, who has managed

Southampton, Leicester City, Hull City,

and

Derby County

, has been without a job since being sacked by

Watford

in July 2020.

On the other end, after opening the season with four consecutive wins,

Holden's

side fell away from the top six after losing 11 times in 15 league games since December 1.
