Vlahovic owes a debt of gratitude to Cesare Prandelli

Fiorentina forward Dusan Vlahovic appreciates everything Cesare Prandelli has done for him after Viola’s 3-0 victory over newly-promoted Spezia.

The young striker scored the opener early in the second half and set up his side’s third goal with an assist for

Valentin Eysseric

.

“We knew this game was very important and worked all week to be ready to bring home three fundamental points,”

the striker told Sky Sport Italia

.

“I want to say thank you to my coach and teammates, to congratulate us on this performance and the victory.”

The three points took

Fiorentina

over

Spezia

in the Serie A standings with 25 points.

“I think consistency is the most important thing now, we need to grit our teeth and go into another tough game ready to give everything.

“We have proved that we are a team and will push ourselves all the way. I’ve said many times that I cannot describe with words what I owe to Prandelli. He arrived when I was in a bad period of form, he gave me confidence and I must repay his faith in me.

“When you have someone who believes in you, it’s much easier. I can’t describe honestly what he has done for me.”
