Tommy Wright appointed as Kilmarnock new manager

Tommy Wright has been chosen as the new manager of Scottish side Kilmarnock on a two-and-a-half-year deal.

The Northern Irishman has been out of work since leaving

St Johnstone

at the end of last season.

The former St Johnstone boss signed a two-and-a-half-year contract with the Ayreshire club on Monday after talks with the club over the weekend.

Wright replaces

Alex Dyer

, who left the club by mutual consent on January 30 following just two wins in 11 matches.

Wright, 57, left St Johnstone in May 2020 following seven years in charge, where he won the Scottish Cup in 2014.
