Simeone reaches 500 matches with Atletico Madrid
The Argentine coach celebrates his 500th match with Atelti after spending a decade with the LaLiga club.

, will celebrate his 500th game with the LaLiga club on Wednesday when they face
Getafe. The former
San Lorenzocoach, who took charge of Atelti in 2011, has been able to win 7 titles during his time with the capital team including their 2013-14 Spanish league victory.
Among his other honors are two
Europa League
crowns, a Copa del Rey, a Supercopa de Espana, and two UEFA Super Cup crowns.
Simeone has yet to succeed in getting his hands on the
Champions League
title after losing to
Real Madridon two occasions.
For their post-Getafe encounter, Simeone’s men will face
Alavesand as for their UCL competition they are expected to have their next match with
Chelsea.
Still Atletico are expected to continue their upcoming games without
Diego Costaafter deciding to give the Spaniard an early contract termination. According to some reports, Costa will choose the Premier League to be his next destination.
