talked to RAI Sport about many problems his team had in their way to the
European Championships
“We started this journey two years ago, went through many problems and I called up at least 70 different players who participated to earn this qualification,
“We faced up to a thousand problems with on average 10 players pulling out every break for international duty, so I can only thank those who worked with me.”
He was also asked about the players Mancini took to the senior squad:
“It’s tough for me to plan for the future right now, I can only work with the players at my disposal. The important thing is that the team spirit remained the same throughout and the work did not change.
“We started this journey with a squad that has the potential to win the Euros.
