Szczesny: 'I'd be happy to keep a 0-0 clean sheet against Italy.'

Poland and Juventus goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny will 'try to take home a positive result' facing Italy in the Nations League and would be content with a draw.

“We will try to take home a positive result, I don’t know if that’ll be a win or a draw against a very strong

Italy

team, I’d be happy with it being a positive result,” Szczesny told RAI Sport.

“If it has to be a draw, I’d rather it be 0-0 so I keep a clean sheet!”

Poland's manager Jerzy Brzęczek a been rotating his goalkeepers on international duty, since Bologna’s

Lukasz Skorupski

played in a 2-0 friendly match against Ukraine,

Lukasz Fabianski

is anticipated to confront the

Netherlands

one week from now.

“There are three games over this break for international duty, so we did talk with the coach and he assured us we’d all get playing time. I am going to play away from home against Italy.”
