Epic Victory for Al-Faisaly Jordan over Sharjah UAE

In a thrilling conclusion to the second group stage of the AFC Champions League, Al-Faisaly Jordan secured a crucial victory over Sharjah UAE with a scoreline of 2-1 at the Amman International Stadium on Monday.

Sharjah took the lead with a goal from their Tunisian player, Feras Belarbi, in the 34th minute. However, Al-Faisaly managed to overturn the score in injury time with two goals. The first was scored by Razak Benyani in the 90th minute, and the second by Tunisian player Rafik Al-Kamargy in the 90+3 minute.

Al-Faisaly concluded their journey in the competition in the last position with 6 points. Nasaf from Uzbekistan topped the group with 11 points, and Al-Sadd secured the second spot with 8 points, ahead of Sharjah, which dropped to the third position.

Sharjah demonstrated strong determination in their attack, especially since a victory was crucial for enhancing their chances of qualification. The Malian player, Moussa Marega, attempted a powerful shot that turned into a corner.

Al-Faisaly goalkeeper, Bani Atiyeh, showcased brilliance in saving a dangerous header from a Sharjah player, preventing a goal. Marega's movements remained a continuous threat to Al-Faisaly's defense.

On the other side, Al-Faisaly bore the pressure from their opponents and relied on counter-attacks. Aref Al-Haj almost scored in one of these attacks but missed the target.

Sharjah had another opportunity when Kayo Fernandez headed inside the penalty area, but it sailed over the goal.

Al-Faisaly responded with a dangerous chance as Al-Haj delivered a precise pass in front of the goal, but Sharjah's defender Salem Al-Sharqi intervened at the right time.

Al-Faisaly turned the tables in the second half with coach Ahmed Hayel making strategic substitutions by bringing in Khaled Zakaria and Ihsan Haddad. The team's performance improved, and they capitalized on Sharjah's weakened attacks.

Haddad scored the equalizer in the 90th minute after a strong pass, and in the 90+3 minute, Al-Kamargy netted the winning goal for Al-Faisaly. Sharjah faced further complications after the expulsion of their Bosnian player, Miroslav Bojanić. The match concluded with Al-Faisaly securing a 2-1 victory.
