Turan: "Atletico made me feel more at home than I’ve ever felt anywhere else"
Arda Turan played for Atletico Madrid for four seasons.
Arda Turan joined
Atletico Madridfrom Galatasaray in 2011, becoming the most expensive Turkish player in history at that time.
Turan scored 22 goals in 178 appearances for Atletico Madrid. He became champion of La Liga with the team in the 2013/14 season. They also won the Copa del Rey in 2012/13 and the Europa League in 2011/12. Additionally, they reached the final of the Champions League in the 2013/14 season.
Arda Turan mentioned in an interview with Tivibu Spor that when he was at Atletico Madrid, he felt like he was at home.
“Atletico Madrid made me feel more at home than I’ve ever felt anywhere else. When I went there, they called me nothing but a legend.”
Arda Turan left Atletico Madrid in 2015 and joined Barcelona.
