Shea Charles joins Southampton from Man City
Charles has completed a move to Southampton from Manchester City.
Southampton have signed
Man City's Shea Charles on a four-year contract. In a deal that might ultimately be valued up to £15 million, the initial fee is £10.5 million.
Russell Martin talked about signing a contract with Charles.
"Shea is a very talented, intelligent and mature young player with great potential to develop his game with us."
he said.
"He has been well schooled at Manchester City, coming through an elite Academy all the way to the first team. We've watched him closely and we're confident he's got the right attributes to help us in the way we're going to play."
Charles, who is 19 years old, has been with Manchester City since the age of 7. Last season, he made his first official appearance for Manchester City at the senior level in a match against Brentford.
