Arsenal vs Chelsea match rescheduled

A new decision regarding the Arsenal-Chelsea match has been taken.

The Premier League announced that the match between

Arsenal

and

Chelsea

has been rescheduled due to a review of the Metropolitan Police's position.

Arsenal expressed its frustration with the decision to change the date of the match from Saturday evening to Tuesday evening.

However, the date of the match was modified to take place on May 2, at the request of the police.

"This change was made following a review by the Metropolitan Police of their position on match security,

" the London club said in a statement on Tuesday.

"After working to try to find a solution with the Metropolitan Police we are extremely disappointed with the impact and disruption this change in match will have on our fans, especially after initially agreeing to play the match on Saturday night."

The Gunners lead the English Premier League table by six points from their nearest rival,

Manchester City

 who owns a deferred match.

Arsenal will meet Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium on April 26, and it was supposed to meet Chelsea three days later on April 29 in the London derby.
