FIFA extends Fabio Paratici's Serie A ban to worldwide activities

In January, Tottenham's managing director was handed a 30-month ban by the Italian Football Federation after the organization investigated alleged financial mismanagement at Juventus. Now FIFA extends Paratici’s ban to worldwide activities.

As a part of the Italian Football Federation's investigation into alleged financial mismanagement at Juventus, Fabio Paratici was handed a 30-month ban from carrying out activities within Italy. The investigation also saw 11 other officials banned and the club deducted 15 points.

The Italian FA asked FIFA for these bans to be extended worldwide, and according to

Sky Sports

, FIFA has granted this request. Although Paratici can work internally at Spurs, he can't do fundamental part of his job, including talking to agents or negotiating deals.

They said in a statement

: "FIFA have confirmed that - following a request by the Italian FA (FIGC) - the Chairperson of FIFA Disciplinary Committee has decided to extend the sanctions imposed by FIGC on several football officials to have worldwide effect."

Paratici and 11 other former Juventus officials have appealed the sanctions. However, the ban is effective while the appeal is going on.
