Aaronson insists Berhalter was successful as the USMNT boss

After leading the USA to the knockout stage of the 2022 World Cup, Berhalter was forced to step away from his job following the revelation of a domestic violence incident with his wife in 1992. However, U.S. Soccer didn't find him guilty as he is eligible to return to his job.

U.S. Soccer is yet to decide on their future boss with Gregg Berhalter eligible to coach the nation once again after his allegations were washed away. Gio Reyna and his family were also involved in blackmailing Berhalter.

However, USMNT star Brenden Aaronson believes Berhalter's records prove he did a good job as the USMNT's head coach.

Aaronson told

:

"Gregg was amazing for the time that he was here.

"The record doesn’t lie. I think winning two trophies (Nations League and Gold Cup) was huge for the team and he had a really great thing with the group and he was really good for the guys. But listen, I can’t say much and whatever happens happens, like I like to say."

Anthony Hudson is currently serving as an interim coach with U.S. Soccer hunting for a new sporting director before appointing a new head coach.
