Man United takeover: Glazers split on sale with current bids falling short of £6bn valuation

Following the news about selling Man united, Sir Jim Ratcliffe and Sheikh Jassim Bin Hamad Al Thani have made public bids, but their offers fall short of the £6bn asking price. Avram Glazer's presence at Wembley during Manchester United's victory in the Carabao Cup final has strengthened the belief that the club will not be sold outright. The Glazers have received underwhelming offers, and they expected more interest to be registered by their soft deadline for proposals on February 17.

They believe that United's potential for future growth revenue, global credit, and its value in markets have been underestimated, even with the club's net debt of £656m, transfer fees owed, and infrastructure costs. Although the review process is exploring strategic alternatives,

"it is not necessarily a sale",

according to Avram Glazer. The club's statement made it clear that "

there can be no assurance that the review being undertaken will result in any transaction involving the company"

Ratcliffe revealed in October that the Glazers

"do not want to sell"

, and sources suggest that the market has been slightly misread in contrast to the Chelsea sale.

When asked about Avram's attendance of the final, Ten Hag said:

"He was really happy for the club, as our owner. He wanted to be part of it. He was in the dressing room, it was good he was here. It showed his intentions."

He was also asked about Avram's intentions: 

"I don't know, I'm not involved in that process but the way he is here, you feel he is committed. What he wants, that is not for me [to say]. I have to lead this team. Others in the club are involved in decisions about ownership."
