United defender Luke Shaw claims they ‘didn’t really celebrate’ EFL Cup win

Luke Shaw says that United players “didn’t really celebrate” their first trophy since 2017 ahead of their FA Cup clash with West Ham

Man Utd left back Luke shaw admitted that he and his teammates had no time to really celebrate their EFL Cup victory since they have a match against West Ham in the FA Cup in mid-week.

Man United managed to get a 2-0 victory against Newcastle United in the EFL Cup at Wembley Stadium on Sunday. Casemiro and Marcus Rashford scored for United to bring the first piece of major silverware to the club since 2017. But according to Shaw, United players didn’t really celebrate the occasion.

"I think obviously we don't want to look too far. I think of course the game is a really big game on Wednesday,"

the United full-back told Sky Sports.

"It's a competition that, of course, we want to look to win. I think that's why we're in today [Monday]. There's no days off. There was not really many celebrations last night, so I think full focus after that was just to make sure that we come in today and prepare for that game because, like I said, it's a competition that we want to stay involved in.

"We know it's going to be a tough test against West Ham."

United have a decent chance of winning other trophies in ten Hag’s maiden season at charge. They are the only English club that has a chance of winning the quadruple.
