Xavi calls Rashford 'one of most dangerous players in Europe'

Ahead of their clash with Manchester United in Europa League, Barca boss Xavi warns his side of Marcus Rashford

Barcelona head coach Xavi thinks

Marcus Rashford

is “one of most dangerous players in Europe” as they head to host United on Thursday.

Barcelona and

Man United

will meet in Europa League’s last-16 play-off with Barcelona on excellent form, having 11 straight wins recently.

"In the transition he is very, very dangerous, so we need to take care of all of them but especially Rashford,"

the Barca coach said on Wednesday at his pre-match press conference.

"He's one of the most dangerous players now in Europe."

Erik ten Hag, who formerly managed Ajax, went on to talk about his former player Frankie De. De Jong has been a staple of Barca’s success lately but the Dutchman has been linked with a move to Manchester United recently.

"Frenkie is an incredible player and for every club in the whole world he will strengthen the squad because he has a unique quality,"

said Ten Hag, who managed De Jong during his time as Ajax coach.

"If you can get him in the squad your team will be stronger. In Spain, he became even better.

"He's a fantastic player, plays out from the back, he always has time and it was a pleasure to work with him."
