Vinicius’s racist abuse against Mallorca will be investigated by La Liga

The Brazilian winger has been subject to racist abuse against Mallorca once again, which has made LaLiga want to investigate the matter.

Vinicius Junior

was once again subject of “intolerable” racist abuse when Real Madrid faced off against Real Mallorca on Sunday, which LaLiga has vowed to investigate.

The 21-year-old was shown in some video footage to be racially abused by some Mallorca fans in

Real Madrid

’s 1-0 defeat at son Moix, which is not the first time this has happened to him this season. Vinicius was also racially abused in both of Madrid’s clashes against Atletico Madrid as well as their December clash against Real Valladolid, which led to some arrests and charges.

La Liga released an statement which read:

"Given the events that occurred in the RCD Mallorca-Real Madrid match, in which once again intolerable racist insults were observed against Real Madrid player Vinicius Junior, LaLiga is putting all the technical means at its disposal and working with the local club to identify those responsible, with the aim of taking the appropriate legal measures.

"LaLiga firmly condemns what happened and, as on previous occasions, will file the necessary complaints and appear in person to continue fighting, within its powers, against any type of racist act, behaviour or incident.

"LaLiga has spent years fighting against this kind of behaviour and promoting the positive values of sport, not only on the pitch, but also off it."
