Real Madrid will face Barcelona in the Copa del Rey semi-finals

Real Madrid will face their rivals Barcelona in the pick of the Copa del Rey semi-final ties.

The Copa del Rey semi-final draw took place on Monday at the Spanish Football Federation's headquarters.

Real Madrid

has been drawn against

Barcelona

in the semi-finals of the Copa dey Rey, and the first leg will take place at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Osasuna and Athletic Club will also face each other in the other tie. Osasuna will be at home in the first leg.

The first legs of each tie will be played on February 28, with the return games to be played on April 4. These dates may change due to Real Madrid’s involvement in the Club World Cup. This year's final will take place on May 6.

Barcelona and Real Madrid have already played each other twice this season. Barcelona won the most recent one, 3-1 in the Super Cup, but Ancelotti’s side won by the same scoreline in La Liga. Xavi’s side is five points clear of Real Madrid in

La Liga

after 18 matches.

Real and Barcelona last played each other in the Copa del Rey in the 2019 semi-finals, and Barcelona won 4-1 on aggregate. Real Madrid last won the Copa del Rey in 2014 when they beat Barcelona 2–1 thanks to Gareth Bale’s winner, while Barcelona last won this trophy in 2021.
