“What has he won?”, former Brazil manager Scolari blasts Luis Enrique

Former Brazil manager Luis Felipe Scolari has questioned the credentials of the Selecao managerial candidate Luis Enrique.

Brazil football federation has been interested in managers like Carlo Ancelotti, Jose Mourinho, and Pep Guardiola and in recent days they have been linked with former Spain manager Luis Enrique.

Enrique left

Spain

's team after a shock defeat against Morocco in the World Cup last 16 round. He also has been linked with Atletico Madrid job amid roomers that Diego Simeone might leave the club at the end of the season.

Former Brazil manager Luiz Felipe Scolari who guided them to the 2002 World Cup has criticised Enrique and claims that he is not a suitable candidate for the Brazil job.

“What has he won? It has to have performance. He is very good, but he has lost everything. What does it mean that he is good?”

he said as per Sport.

Scolari left Athletico Paranaense after losing in the final of the Copa Libertadores 2022.

According to the Brazilian outlet UOL Esporte, Brazil Football Confederation has asked Ronaldo to speak to Luis Enrique over their vacant managerial position.

Enrique guided Spain to the semifinals of Euro 2020 and the final of the Nations League in 2021. He also won nine major trophies as Barcelona’s manager, including two La Liga titles and one Champions League.
