Spurs winger Richarlison deems Brazil’s World Cup heartbreak ‘worse than losing a family member’

Richarlison compares Brazil being knocked out of the World Cup to losing a family member, calling the latter worse!

Despite scoring the goal of the tournament in the 2022 World Cup,

Richarlison

couldn’t help Brazil move past the quarter-finals as they fell to Croatia on penalties. Now the Spurs winger has opened up about the heartbreak, calling it worse than the death of a family member.

"

It was a blow, I don't know. I think it's worse than losing a family member,"

Richarlison told ESPN .

"It was difficult to recover. To this day, when I watch videos on my social networks, it makes me sad. But we have to move on. I'm still young, I think I still have one or two World Cups to go. I will keep working hard so that things start to flow again, the goals start to come out, which is what I know how to do on the field."

The heartbreaks continues for Richarlison as they were dismantled by Arsenal in the North London derby that Spurs lost 2-0. Things aren’t about to get easier for them either as they’ll face

Manchester City

in midweek.
