Chelsea make a huge step in hijacking Arsenal target Mudryk’s deal

Todd Boehly and co. continue their trend of hijacking rivals’ transfer deals as they make a whopping £89m offer to sign Mudryk from Shakhtar

Chelsea’s offer of £89m for

Mykhailo Mudryk

has been accepted by Shakhtar Donetsk even though the player was keen on a move to Arsenal.

Mudryk has been linked with Arsenal for months and he himself posted numerous posts on social media teasing a move to Arsenal but Chelsea has been trying to hijack Arsenal’s deal with Shakhtar and it seems they are successful as a report from the Athletic suggests.

The Chelsea board have flown to Poland in order to reach an agreement with Shakhtar for a €100 million ($108m/£89m) move. The player has accepted personal terms with the Blues and will now fly to London for a medical.

Arsenal’s first two bids were rejected but the third deal, which was made on Saturday, was believed to be closer to what Shakhtar had in mind. However, Chelsea has blown that deal out of the water with a large margin.

Nothing is official yet but

Chelsea

looks to have beaten the Gunners in signing their top target.
