Ancelotti gives Madrid fans hope as he claims ‘Benzema is back’

Karim Benzema is back to full fitness according to Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti.

Carlo Ancelotti is adamant that fully fit

Karim Benzema

will bring more glory to Madrid in the second half of the season despite the Ballon d’Or winner missing much of the first half of it.

Benzema has been invaluable for Real Madrid in recent seasons, culminating in him winning a Ballon d’Or but the Frenchman has struggled with injuries ever since, even losing out on the World Cup. however, his return to playing football has been triumphant since he has scored 4 goals in 3 matches.

Ancelotti went on to emphasize the 35-year-old’s impact on his side, saying:

"That gives us a lot of confidence - for the next few games and for this second half of the season. He looks motivated and he's training well.

"He's a very important player for us. I think the team dealt well with his absence in the first half [of the season] and he'll help us in this second half."

Despite winning almost every trophy available in 2022, Ancelotti adamantly believes that

Real Madrid

hasn’t lost their desire to win more trophies.

"It's not true [they are complacent],"

he added.

"We are talking about players who have not only won last year. They have started winning in 2013, and they will never have a full belly because they have a mental quality that is very high.

"Also, because we are in a very demanding club, and it doesn't allow you to have a full belly."
