Ream calls the tensions between Ryena and Berhalter a ‘non-story’

Fulham defender, Tim Ream rubbishes any fallout between Gio Reyna and USA coach Berhalter.

The rumors of a fallout between Dortmund youngster

Giovanni Reyna

and USMNT coach Gregg Berhalter is a “non-story” according to Fulham center back Tim Ream.

The rumors came following Reyna’s bit-part involvement in USA’s World Cup campaign and Berhalter’s subsequent interviews which told of a player that he wanted to send home for their behavior. Many assumed that player to be Reyna and the player eventually responded to the rumors. Now

Ream

has weighed on the matter as well.

"For us, it's a non-story," he said on his podcast Indirect. "We dealt with it in camp, things moved on, we moved past it and that's where we are. We can put that to bed.

"We addressed it in camp and [Reyna] did what he had to do, and obviously came on against the Netherlands and helped to drag us back into the game. For us, that's it. That's the end of it."

Ream’s comment doesn’t actually clear the fact that Reyna was the player Berhalter talked about or not but certainly paints a picture of a content USMNT camp before their exit at the World Cup.
