Super League’s CEO: “CJEU’s order will not the tournament's hopes"

On Thursday, the European Union Court of Justice (CJEU) found FIFA and UEFA just to ban Super League and the clubs involved in it. However, the Super League CEO believes the project is still pretty much alive.

CJEU officially declared that UEFA and FIFA would be acting lawfully by sanctioning third-party competitions and clubs involved as many believed that would be the end to Florentino Perez’s controversial plans.

After both Joan Laporta and Florentino Perez found the court's sanction an illegal monopoly on continental football,

Bernd Reichart

, the CEO of A22 Sports Management, believes the idea of the competition is still alive.

"The Super League isn't dead, not at all, it's very much alive,"

he said.

"We'll keep working until the judgment.

"We are still convinced that UEFA can't be everything at once. They organize the competition, they regulate the competition, and at the same time, they control access to the market.
