Despite their bid to host the 2026 World Cup failure, FIFA announced Morocco will host this year's edition of the Club World Cup, featuring Real Madrid, Flamengo, Seattle Sounders, Auckland City, and Al Ahly. The tournament will take place between February 1 and 11

The nation made history this year in Qatar as Regragui led the Atlas Lions to the semi-final of the World Cup as they will face Croatia in the third-place play-off on Saturday.

FIFA president Gianni Infantino confirmed also confirmed a revamped 32-team Club World Cup from 2025. 

“The new men’s Club World Cup will take place in 2025 and will feature 32 teams," FIFA president Gianni Infantino confirmed. "The 32-team tournament will go ahead, making it like a World Cup.”
