Saudi Arabian club Al Hilal weighing up move for Cristiano Ronaldo

Saudi Arabian club Al Hilal is among the clubs queuing to sign free agent Cristiano Ronaldo.

Sky Sports claims that Al Hilal is considering the signing of

Cristiano Ronaldo

on a free transfer but it remains to be seen whether Ronaldo is willing to leave European football.

Ronaldo left

Manchester United

on Tuesday with a mutual termination of his contract following a controversial interview with TalkTV.

Manchester United reportedly received an offer for Ronaldo from a Saudi Arabia team and the Portuguese confirmed that he rejected their €350 million offer in an interview with TalkTV.

Ronaldo told Piers Morgan:

“It’s true, yes it’s true…but what the press keeping saying, the garbage that nobody wants me, which is completely wrong.

“And I was happy here to be honest, I was motivated to do a great season here. But they [the media] continue to repeat that nobody wants Cristiano. How do they not want a player who scored 32 goals last year, with a national team?”

Saudi Arabia sports minister Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al-Faisal also revealed that they want to bring Ronaldo to its domestic league on Thursday.

"Who wouldn't want him to play in their league?"

Prince Abdulaziz told Sky News.

"He's a role model to a lot of young players - him and Messi."

The 37-year-old Ronaldo is currently playing in the World Cup with

Portugal

and scored against Ghana in their World Cup opener on Wednesday. He became the first man to score in five World Cups.
