Croatia announce 26-man squad for the 2022 World Cup
Croatia has announced its 26-man squad for the 2022 World Cup. Croatia reached the final in the 2018 World Cup.
Croatia is in Group F with Canada,
Belgium, and Morocco. They will face Morocco in their first game on November 23.
Real Madrid star Luka Modric who will play in his fourth World Cup finals and other players like Mateo Kovacic, Marcelo Brozovic, and Ivan Perisic are all in the squad. Mario Mandzukic who played in the last World Cup will be Dalic's assistant in this tournament.
Dalic told reporters:
"These are the players that my staff and I believe in. There will be no pressure, we will take it one game at a time.
"The first match for us is the most important and all our focus is on Morocco. We are optimistic but need to be realistic. It is a big deal for Croatia to be at the World Cup, we will take it step by step and do the best we can."
