Chelsea owner wants to sign Ronaldo from Man Utd

The Portuguese star does not seem to have a future at Old Trafford.

Reports indicate that the owner of Chelsea plans to make an offer to Ronaldo for his departure from Manchester United.

The Portuguese star returned to Old Trafford in the summer of two years ago and managed to score 18 goals for this team in his first season. Although his scoring statistics were very good, his positive impact on the team's performance was questioned. During last summer, Ronaldo missed the team's pre-season and tried to leave the Red Devils. There were rumors about him joining Atletico Madrid, Chelsea and Napoli, but he couldn't agree with a club and ended up staying at United.

With the start of the new season, Erik ten Hag decided to bench Ronaldo and the Portuguese star got less time on the field. In United's recent win against Tottenham, the Portuguese star was on the bench and decided to go to the dressing room late in the game, which angered Ten Hag, who left Ronaldo out of the Chelsea squad. The Red Devils are said to be considering letting Ronaldo leave on a free transfer in January, with several clubs monitoring his situation.

The Daily Mirror claims that the new owner of Chelsea, Todd Boehly, wants to sign the Portuguese star. He is trying to start negotiations and start the path of the Portuguese star's departure from Old Trafford.
