Madrid's Rodrygo hits out at Panini for World Cup sticker album snub

The Los Blancos star has slammed Panini jokingly as he did not include him in the sticker album of the World Cup for the Brazil squad.

Rodrygo

was not included in the Brazil squad’s World Cup sticker album by Panini before the start of the tournament in Qatar. Since the Brazil international is enjoying a rich vein of form this season, he was supported by himself to make the team notwithstanding being excluded from Panini’s renowned album.

He talked to the TNT Sports and said:

"If a player is at Real Madrid and he is doing things well, he has more chances (of going to the World Cup). But I have to work because the competition is very high and I know that if I make a mistake the chance of staying is very great.

"Of course (I was frustrated about not being in the album), I had to be. Po, put the lightning in the album, right? It's a dirty trick!"

The 21-year-old is among the big names that are not part of the sticker album of Panini, with Paulo Dybala also another one of the players who has been excluded. The Real Madrid star played a crucial role in his side’s victory in the Champions League and performed amazingly well in the competition again on Tuesday, meeting the back of the net and contributing an assist in Los Blancos’ 3-1 victory over Shakhtar Donetsk.

He made his national team’s most recent squad in the last warm-up fixtures before the World Cup and he should now plug away at Real Madrid before the World Cup begins in November.
