Official: Wolves sack head coach Bruno Lage

After losing to West Ham on Saturday and falling into the relegation zone, Wolves fired head coach Bruno Lage.

The 2-0 loss at the

London Stadium

was

Wolves

' fourth of the season. The club's leaders have decided it's time for a new manager, and an announcement is expected today.

This summer, Wolves spent £100 million on new players as Lage tried to build a team in his image. However,

Bruno Lage

has been unable to change his team's luck, and his 15-month run is now over.

Since April 2, when they beat

Aston Villa

2-1 at home, Wolves have only won one of their last 15 Premier League games. He said this after Wolves' most recent loss on Saturday, which turned out to be Lage's last game in charge:

"We're under pressure. We will continue to work. I know the fans support us. We try to do our best for them. We're in a bad moment, we don't have goals or victories."

"We need to continue to work. I can promise we will work hard every day to bring good games and victories for the team."
