On the other hand, England responded with two goals in five minutes. Shaw's cross cut the lead in half, before Mount surged past Ter Stegen after a jinking run from Bukayo Saka. The Three Lions took the lead when Kane converted a penalty following Nico Schlotterbeck's reckless challenge on Jude Bellingham, but Havertz had the final say when Pope fumbled

's original effort.

England showed guts to overcome a 2-0 hole with their first goals from open play of this Nations League campaign, ending a 520-minute goalless streak, but the Three Lions have now gone six games without a win for the first time since 1993. Meanwhile, despite extending their unbeaten streak to nine away games, Germany has drawn four consecutive road games for the first time.

Kane capped the comeback with an impressive penalty, his 51st international goal, and is now just two goals away from equaling Wayne Rooney's all-time England record. Havertz scored the first of the six goals, putting the game up 2-0 with a beautiful 25-yard strike past the hapless Pope. Germany's World Cup preparations conclude with a friendly against Oman on November 15, followed by a match against Japan in Group E eight days later.
