Fofana frustrated at being priced out of the dream move by Leicester

Wesley Fofana is getting more and more unhappy at Leicester, and he thinks the club is making it impossible for him to move to Chelsea.

The 21-year-old center-back wants to play in the

Champions League

to make it more likely that France will pick him for the World Cup this winter. He wants to play football at Stamford Bridge like Didier Drogba, a legend in Fofana's hometown of Marseille.

Fofana may have thought Leicester would listen to any big offers for him from the best clubs in Europe, but so far, the Foxes have turned down two bids from

Chelsea

worth around £60 million.

According to

Sky Sports News

, he is getting increasingly upset now that he knows the Foxes want a world-record center-back fee to sell him. People say the Midlands club wants more than the £80 million they got for selling Harry Maguire to Manchester United in 2019. They think

Wesley Fofana

is a better player at his age and has more potential than Maguire.

But Fofana is said to be unhappy because they are different and have had different careers up to this point. At the time of his transfer, Maguire was 26 years old, a well-known England international who had just won the 2018 World Cup with Gareth Southgate's team and had already played three full seasons in the Premier League.

On the other hand, Fofana is five years younger, hasn't played for France yet, and has only played one full season in the Premier League, albeit at a very high level, because he got hurt before the 2021-22 season.
