Yacine Adli has decided to represent Algeria

Even though he played a lot of youth soccer for France, Yacine Adli, who just signed with Milan, has decided to move on with the Algerian national team.

The 22-year-old attacking star was born in Vitry-sur-Seine, has two passports, and has played for

France

from the Under-16 to Under-20 age groups.

Since the U-20 World Cup in 2019, which was the last time he played for France, he has been on the bench.

La Gazzetta dello Sport

says that Adli has decided to play for

Algeria

instead of France, where he would have played with Ismael Bennacer. Fennec Football says that he may have already gone to the Algerian consulate in

Milan

to apply for a passport and give FIFA the paperwork they need.

The Algerian national team coach, Djamel Belmadi, has already promised the Milan player a spot on the team for the qualifiers against Niger on March 20 and 28, 2023, for the Africa Cup of Nations.
