Borja Mayoral departs Real Madrid to join Getafe permanently

The Los Blancos academy graduate has departed the club to make a move to Getafe on a permanent deal.

have announced that

Borja Mayoral

departed the club and joined

Getafe

on a five-year contract.

The 25-year-old was playing for Getafe in the second half of the previous season on a loan deal. He met the back of the net six times in 18 games. Now, he left Los Blancos after a 15-year spell.

He contributed to victories in the Champions League, Club World Cup, Super Cup, and Supercopa de Espana with Madrid. however, he did not establish himself a regular first-team player.

He had his Los Blancos debut in 2015 but then moved to

Wolfsburg

on a loan deal for the 2016-7 season, coming back to Real Madrid the next year.

He then had a two-year loan spell with Levante and then another two-season with Roma, which was cut short as Getafe took over the deal for the rest of the last season before his move was turned permanent this summer.
