Rodgers denied Fofana and Maddison exit

The Irish manager announced that the Foxes are not thinking about selling their stars.

Leicester City

boss Brendan Rodgers has insisted they will not sell Wesley Fofana to Chelsea and has also dismissed rumors of James Maddison joining Newcastle.

Leicester City is the only Premier League club that has not made a purchase in the week before the start of the league. While reports indicate that the economic situation in King

Over is not very suitable, it seems that several key players will go to rival teams. Chelsea, who lost Antonio Rudiger and Christensen as free agents, are looking to sign Fofana.

Reports suggest that Maddison is also of interest to Newcastle, but Rodgers denied rumors of them leaving the club.

Rodgers said:

"He's still very much a player here. Naturally, the players are sought after because they are talents.

"You see his performance, you see how happy he is, and he's not a player we want to sell.

"It's not for me to put valuations on the players, it's not my side, but [£40m] might just cover three-quarters of his left leg, that price. He's a top player."
