Nuno Tavares 'in talks' to join Atalanta from Arsenal
Arsenal is close to letting Nuno Tavares go on loan to Atalanta.
The 22-year-old left-back was bought from
Benficafor €8m last summer. He has played 30 games for
Arsenal
in all competitions.
He scored one goal and had two assists, but he wants to play more often so he can spread his wings.
Gianluca Di Marzio
, a transfer expert for Sky Sport Italia, and TuttoAtalanta both said that the deal was made by the club's new director, Lee Congerton.
It will be a straight loan, so
Atalantawon't be able to buy the player at the end of the season. Atalanta, on the other hand, is trying to get some option if he plays a certain number of games for La Dea.
Nuno Tavares had been talked about as a possible player for Juventus, and he had also been linked to Olympique Marseille. The player will have even less room at Arsenal now that Oleksandr Zinchenko has moved there for €35 million from
Manchester City
.
